Tokyo born Chiaki Sato developed her passion for photography early on as a teenager fulfilling that dream by studying at the International Center for Photography (ICP) in New York and later continued building her strong foundation by assisting a select number of renowned photographers in New York, her main focus, beauty and fashion portraiture. Along the way also completing courses at Christine Valmy International Beauty School for Cosmetology and Esthetics, before starting as an assistant photographer at Wolfgang Freithof Studios in 2003. Working on her personal project “International Couples – people she meets on the streets of New York” has given her a chance to develop spontaneity and interpersonal skills while being able to tell a story with her camera.
Chiaki Sato is now an associate photographer at the studio, currently working as Wolfgang Freithof’s second shooter at weddings, bringing her unique vision and
artistic sensibilities to each assignment and complement the studio’s unique approach with wedding photography on assignments worldwide.
