Wedding at Rosewood Mayakoba, Riviera Maya, Mexico

New York City is pretty spectacular, but who doesn’t love a change of scenery every now and then – especially when it’s in Mexico, in June! Destination weddings are always fabulous fun, and this one was all that and more. 

The couple could not have chosen a more spectacular location than the Rosewood Mayakoba, one of the top private luxury resorts in the Riviera Maya. Tucked away from the crowds, nestled in the lush jungle that hugs the shoreline, it’s easy to imagine that you’re far removed from the rest of the world – a true fantasy escape that satiates the senses in every possible way.

The festivities began in the morning as the bride brunched with her dearest friends and family. The lace she wore so well was the perfect textural foil for the resort’s quintessentially beachy color palette. The navy blues and soft neutrals of the resort décor were echoed in the wedding party’s color scheme, blending seamlessly with the white sand beach, azure skies, and silver-tinged ocean waves.

The beachfront ceremony was serene and dreamy, and all eyes were on the bride as she stunned in a timeless Monique Lhuillier lace gown and a veil that mimicked the gauzy sheers that framed the wedding arch.

The candlelit dinner and evening reception was elegantly appointed; no detail was left to chance! Then, as the dancing wound down, the party found its way back to the beach, a sweet ending to a most perfect day.
