See How A Real-Life Eloise Got Married At The Plaza Hotel In NYC!
As published in a The Knot Magazine issue article: by Lauren Levy
The typical wedding at home usually involves an intimate backyard ceremony, afternoon yard games and maybe even a barbecue reception. But Kelley and her family don’t live in the typical house. They live at the Plaza Hotel. Nicknamed Eloise by hotel security, Kelley was one of the first residents to live in the luxurious building. “I choose the Plaza Hotel for my wedding venue for two reasons,” explains Kelley, “First, the hotel captures the history and essence of classic NYC. Secondly, the Plaza Hotel is where my family has resided for the past seven years and where I call ‘home.’ I couldn’t imagine a more perfect venue to begin the next chapter of my life.”
After an ornate ceremony at St. Ignatius Church filled with oversized floral displays of luscious cream blooms and sheer silk organza, Kelley and Kevin made their way to the Plaza Hotel (in a white Rolls Royce no less!) for an over-the-top opulent affair and an equally lavish after party. Emily Risel from CPS Events with the Plaza Hotel perfected every detail of the elaborate crystal-filled winter wedding. From signature cocktails served from a monogramed ice luge, to luscious rose arrangements and a full Eloise-inspired candy bar, A Day of Bliss Photography captured every sophisticated accent.
