Alison & Kells
It is a picturesque experience when you get to shoot an Engagement session under the blooming cherry blossoms in the Mall of D.C. and to walk the cobblestone streets of the ever-captivating Georgetown. It is even more special when the couple asks you to do your magic for their Rehearsal Dinner Cruise on the Potomac River, culminating with a perfectly juxtaposed dreamy sunset background. Afterward, we were naturally honored when we got asked to shoot their magnificent Washington D.C. wedding.
Their ceremony took place at the legendary Willard Hotel, also known as the “Residence of Presidents”. Alison and Kelis’s eloquent and classy personalities were perfectly matched by the interior of this renowned place. Grand monumental ballrooms, terrace overlooking the iconic obelisk-shaped Washington Monument, and opulence adorned their romantic ceremony. The bride was simply radiant, wearing her grandmother’s veil which was poetically swayed by the breeze.
While we were portraying this glamorous Washington D.C. wedding, the bride was so natural and camera-aware, that we could not stop capturing the magical moments that kept happening! Alison was giving us the photographer’s dream – she was laughing, crying, and all of that during one sentence! She certainly gave us the perfect scenario, and we enjoyed immortalizing every single one of the emotions expressed.
What really compelled us to continue photographing tirelessly was the genuine family love. Both of the families were just the perfect support team, outpouring their love and rejoicing for this couple’s blessed marriage. Apart from the striking venue, all the love and feels stood out in the sweetest way, making this a truly memorable Washington D.C. wedding.
