A special wedding at the Yale Club of New York

When you are planning a wedding, the first element you think about is the potential date range. There are so many factors that come into play when choosing a date, such as the dress you want to wear, the kind of wedding you dream of, the kind of venue you prefer, etc.

But New York is different. We have been working as wedding photographers for many years, and we think every season is perfect for getting married in New York. Winter weddings in the city are adorable. Don’t you believe us? Then we’ll tell you more about Kara and Stephen’s wedding day, which was so romantic, it warmed everyone’s heart.

Before we jump into the story, we’d like to add a quick note. Here at A Day of Bliss Photography, we love to form long-term partnerships with vendors and wedding planners because it creates a synergy that makes our photo work easier on both sides, for the couple and for us. EAP Weddings a favorite, and it was Christine, the EAP mastermind, who introduced us to Kara and Stephen.

The wedding could not have been more sophisticated than this, and we loved it. To host the reception, in fact, Kara and Stephen chose the Yale Club of New York, the exclusive club which gathers together upper-class graduates since 1897 has a beautiful ballroom on the top floor. Well, eating the wedding cake in such an important historical location makes quite an impression!

EAP, their wedding planners team took care of every aspect of the wedding day beautifully and made sure each of the locations was easy to reach for both the couple and the guests.

The ceremony itself, in fact, took place in St. Agnes Church, which is just a few blocks away from the club. And the location for the photo shooting was located just across the street.

Kara and Stephen wanted their wedding pictures to be iconic, so we opted to set the wedding photo shooting in one of the most breathtaking locations, the historic Grand Central Terminal. Of course, we included a kiss in front of the Center Information Booth: a pic with the American flags and the vaulted sky is a timeless classic.

It was soon time to go back to celebrate the couple. Once Stephen lifted his bride up into the air during their entrance, the ballroom came alive and all that mattered was celebrating their special love with a party!
